Create Stunning Cards with Tropical Friends Die Set

Hello Crafty Friends! Summer is almost here and Spellbinders came out with this fun, adorable die set. The Tropical Friends Die Set arrived for the May Small Die of the Month Club and comes with 9 metal dies. There are 2 birds and a bunch of foliage to make all the cards you can dream of.

I have already made 3 cards with this die set and I have 3 more sets of birds pieced together for even more cards.

This first card, I wanted to incorporate the fun Tropical Spray Stencil. I used the Mint Julep and Key Lime colors from Taylored Expressions, and Salt Water Taffy for the sentiment.

I wanted to keep the bird as the focus so putting it on top of a white cutout piece and used foam tape to raise it. Attached it to a Peridot paper and embellished with Aquamarine gems.

This simple toucan card uses the 3D Embossing Folder (Scattered Tropics), and stamped using “A little bird told me” Sentiment Set from Spellbinders.

Embossed the card backer using the Scattered Tropics 3D embossing folder, used a sheet from the Cools (A2 Size) Smooth Cardstock (scrapbook.com).

I got the fun sparkles by spraying Pixie spray lightly on the cardstock and tapping it with foil. Added a foiled sentiment using the Dude set (Taylored Expressions)
