Spellbinders March Clubs: Create Cards for Dad, Mom, and Siblings

Hey Friends!! A new month means that Spellbinders has released a new set of clubs. This months theme is all about family. The Glimmer and Clear Stamp of the month have sentiments for Dad, Mom and Siblings. Spellbinders has sponsored today’s post by providing me with these clubs this month.

Card 1

This first card was crafted with a heartfelt intention, aiming for a blend of simplicity and masculinity to honor “Dad”. I envisioned it as a versatile piece, perfect for celebrating both a birthday or Father’s Day. The background was cut using the March 2025 Stitching Die of the Month. I selected two different shades of threads from the same color family to create an alternating pattern that brings the design to life. I affixed this stunning background to a card mat in a slightly darker hue, adding depth and character. The sentiment, sourced from the Glimmer Hot Foil Club, was elegantly rendered in black foil, perfectly complementing the card mat. I glued the elements together, embellishing the card with little gems before attaching it to my white card base.

Card 2

I started this creative journey. I hot foiled the March 2025 BetterPress plate onto white cardstock. This resulted in a delicate shiny outline. I aligned the coordinating stencil from this month’s stencil club. I gently ink blended with three vibrant layers. Each layer added depth and brilliance. I cut the background using a rectangle postage die. Then, I secured it onto a bold black mat. This enhanced the overall visual impact. The same foil jazzed up the Glimmer Foil Kit sentiments on black cardstock. Finally, the black card mat was affixed to my white card base.

Card 3

This card began with the process of stenciling the pattern onto white cardstock. After carefully layering each design, I lined up the pattern within the coordinating embossing folder, creating a mesmerizing texture. Crafty Tip: For another method, try embossing the paper first and then stenciling. I used the rectangular postage die to cut the white cardstock to a smaller size. I then affixed the smaller cardstock to my black card mat. The sentiments, which bring extra charm, were taken from the Glimmer Foil Kit previously used with Card 2. Finally, the black card mat was secured to the white card base.
