Jump for Joy Collection: Fun Card Making Ideas

Hey Crafty Friends, hopping in with a new collection from Spellbinders. The Jump for Joy Collection is fun, adorable and perfect for creating a variety of cards. This collection includes the Frog Prince Set Die, Lily Pad Stencil and coordinating clear stamp sentiment set. I have made 2 very different cards with this collection so far.

Card 1

My YouTube video details how I made this card. I used paper from several companies to create this card. Specifically, I used Your Paper Insider Box #11 for the off white of the mushrooms. I used Spellbinders ColorWheel Cardstock in Fawn, Poppy, Pomegranate, Saffron, Raven and Classic White.

Card 2

This card uses the collections layered stencil to create the background. The stencil is 3 layers, which makes it easier for customization. I used 2 shades of purple for the flower. I even used some purple glitter paste to create some sparkle. The cattails are made with 2 different browns, light brown for the stalks. To create the texture on the leaves, I used some liquid watercolor ink. I lightly dipped my paintbrush in the color and tapped the ink onto the stalks.

The frog is made from the Frog Prince die set, using 2 shades of green. I also used a silver shimmer paper for the crown and purple diamond gems for the gems. The cloud shape outline die was used to create the top of the card. I stamped the sentiment in black ink. I added the white onto a black card base. Finished the card with a dragonfly sticker embellishment.
