Create Vibrant Birthday Cards with Spellbinders

Oh my goodness, I can hardly contain my excitement over Spellbinders’ November Clubs! This month was all about the joyous celebrations of birthdays, and I simply adored every single item. I just had to get my hands on the Deluxe Caboodle, which is an absolute treasure trove! It includes every club for the month, plus a delightful bonus item. This month is a small cake die that ties perfectly into the theme.

I used four fantastic clubs to create this vibrant birthday card:

And wait until you see this other card I whipped up! It’s bursting with color and creativity! The background glows with pastel hues, while the frog and car pop with vibrant shades. To top it all off, the sentiment sparkles with rainbow foil, adding that extra shine we all love! ✨

To create this delightful card, I began my journey with a stunning stencil and a pristine 4.75″ x 6″ sheet of white cardstock. The stencil is comprised of 5 layers that allowed me to select a palette of pastel colors. I chose five vibrant shades that truly work together: Blue, Pink, Purple, Green, and Yellow.

Once I completed the stenciling process, I carefully trimmed the paper down to a perfect 4″ x 5.5″ size, ready to be showcased on an A2 (4.25″ x 5.5″) black card mat. For that extra touch of dimension, I opted for foam tape, giving the card a beautiful lift. If you prefer simplicity, flat tape or glue will work just as beautifully. This card isn’t just a creation; it’s a heartfelt expression waiting to bring joy to someone special!

The “Hooray!” die set boasts two charming characters: a playful alligator and an fun frog zooming around in a car! I selected thick cardstock, chose hues that harmonize beautifully with the stenciled background. Since the frog steals the spotlight, I opted for bright, eye-catching colors to truly bring it to life. With the aid of my trusty die cutter, I cut out each piece. I glued them together with my favorite liquid adhesive. This created a whimsical scene.

The sentiment from the Glimmer set, paired with stunning rainbow glimmer foil, adds a vibrant splash of color. This perfectly completes the card. To give the frog’s bow that extra pop, I adorned it with a shiny gem. I couldn’t resist using a white paint pen to highlight the balloons. The result is nothing short of playful!
