Create Stunning Snail Mail Cards with Spellbinders

Hey Crafty Friends!! A brand new month has arrived, and I’m beyond excited to unveil some of the latest clubs from Spellbinders! This month’s theme revolves around snail mail and the art of letter writing. I’ve crafted 3 cards so far, utilizing a delightful array of clubs offered this month. With the fabulous Stitched Dies, mesmerizing BetterPress, charming Stencil, captivating Clear Stamp/Die, and stunning Glimmer Foil Clubs, my creativity knows no bounds!

Card 1 – Happy Mail

This card uses a combo of clubs. I started with the glimmer foil plate, I pressed the letter image, black foil, onto white cardstock. I colored in the stamps with red pencil and I added additional shading with silver pencil. Using the postage edge die, I cut the letter image smaller.

I stenciled the red and blue border using the stencil of the month. I stamped the sentiment using black ink. Using thin foam tape on the back of the letters, I attached it to the card base. I used some more foam tape for the sentiment to create more dimension.

Card 2 – Aged Letter

This card is very unique. I used brown BetterPress ink on tan cardstock to create an aged look. I cut the tan cardstock smaller (4″ x 5.25″) and notched the corners. I ink blended around the outer edge with coordinating ink. Black cardstock (4.25″ x 5.5″) has notched corners as well.

The wax seal is made using 2 different colors of wax. I started first with the gold and when cooled, I cut the postage square out. I melted black wax and placed the gold stamp in the center.
