Two Baby Cards with the Classic Pooh Collection

I am so excited to share these latest additions to my Hundred Acre Wood collection! These two cards feature the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Baby set, which is a heart-melting add-on to the previous Classic Pooh releases from Spellbinders. Whether you’re welcoming a new little one or sending a note of love, these character dies bring such a nostalgic, gentle touch to your paper crafting.

To give you a closer look at everything in this release, I’ve put together a new YouTube video! In the first half, I unbox the entire collection, showing you the intricate details of the dies and the beautiful sentiment set. Then, stay tuned until the end of the video, where I walk you through a step-by-step card-making tutorial to recreate the two cards featured in today’s post.

Kangaroo Love Card

This first card features the precious Kanga and Roo duo and was designed to be warm, loving, and perfect for a “just because” or Valentine’s note. I positioned Kanga and her little Roo front and center to really emphasize that nurturing, “big hug” feeling.

To keep the design soft without overwhelming the sweet focal image, I paired the die-cut characters with a delicate white floral patterned background. The subtle leafy pattern adds visual interest while still keeping the focus on the pair. I also added a bright red heart balloon held by Roo to provide a pop of color and a touch of whimsical dimension.

The sentiment “How do you spell LOVE?” is a classic Pooh-inspired detail that makes this card especially great for baby showers or nursery notes. I finished the card by mounting the patterned panel onto a vibrant fuchsia card base to ground the design and frame the scene beautifully.

Starry Skies Baby Carriage Card

This second card focuses on a tiny Roo in a vintage-style pram and was designed to be serene, dreamy, and perfect for welcoming a new arrival. I positioned the carriage inside a soft white arched frame to create a focal point that feels like looking through a nursery window.

To keep the design peaceful, I paired the die-cut carriage with a mint green star-patterned background. The repeating tiny stars add a “twinkle” effect that perfectly matches the theme of the card. I added small blue gems to the centers of the carriage wheels for a tiny touch of shine and extra detail.

The sentiment “Welcome to a world of moonlit dreams and starry skies” is a beautiful, poetic touch that makes this card an ideal keepsake for new parents.

Versatility in Design: To showcase just how versatile this layout is, I also created two additional versions of this card in classic pink and soft blue. By simply swapping the patterned paper and the color of the carriage canopy, you can easily shift this design from gender-neutral to gender-specific. Whether you are crafting for a baby shower or a “welcome home” gift, these variations prove that the Say Cheese Classic Pooh Baby set works beautifully for any celebratory event.

Bringing it All Together: Nostalgic Character Crafting

Whether you are celebrating a new arrival with a starry carriage or sharing a mother’s love with Kanga and Roo, this collection makes it easy to create heartfelt, professional-looking cards. By following a consistent layout—using arched or rectangular frames and soft, themed patterns—you can let these iconic characters take center stage. These designs prove that a few thoughtful layers and a classic sentiment are all it takes to create a card that will be cherished for years to face!

Now it’s your turn! I’d love to see how you use these Classic Pooh add-ons in your own craft room. Tag me on Instagram or share a link to your project in the comments below so I can see your wonderful creations!
